DWG to PDF: how it works

  1. Select the DWG or DXF drawing (up to 20 MB).
  2. Choose the sheet size and whether you want it in black and white or in color.
  3. Press “Convert to PDF” and download the drawing.

Frequently asked questions

Is it to scale?

No. The drawing is fitted to the chosen sheet to make the most of it. If you need an exact scale, plot the PDF from your CAD program and then use “Change scale”.

Which part of the drawing is converted?

The whole model space. Layouts and plot styles (CTB) are not used, so line weights may not match those of your plotter.

What if my DWG does not open?

Some very recent or very complex DWG files cannot be read. Save the drawing as DXF from AutoCAD (Save as) and upload it in that format.

What happens to my files?

They are sent encrypted, processed and discarded when the job is done. PDFya does not store or review them.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no added watermark. There is a limit of 20 MB per file and 30 operations per hour.
