Change scale: how it works

  1. Select the drawing in PDF.
  2. Enter the drawing's current scale and the scale you want.
  3. Press “Change scale” and download the rescaled drawing.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to the sheet size?

It changes in the same proportion. An A1 at 1:50 taken to 1:100 becomes an A3; the other way round, an A3 becomes an A1.

Is it accurate?

Yes, as long as the current scale you enter is the real one of the PDF and you print at 100%. Check a known dimension with a scale ruler.

What if I want it to fit on A4?

Use “Resize to A4”, which fits the page onto the sheet. Bear in mind the scale then stops being a standard one.

What happens to my files?

They are sent encrypted, processed and discarded when the job is done. PDFya does not store or review them.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no added watermark. There is a limit of 20 MB per file and 30 operations per hour.
